Cutting wait time at clinics

Long waiting of 3 hours to see your doctor for 3 minutes is no longer a norm in HK now. ClinicONE Smart Clinic, developed by Applied Technology Group Limited, makes it much easier for patients to seek medical help in an efficient manner.

The Smart Clinic, with a size similar to a phone booth, contains a list of medical approved equipment and performs a wide range of tasks, from screening patient’s blood pressure, SpO2, BMI and body fat, to video consultations with doctors or medical professionals. What’s more is that after a consultation, the smart clinic will place an order to courier to pick-up & send the prescribed medicine to patients’ home within a day.

“This solution can relief the situation of insufficient medical professionals in the medical industry in Hong Kong, saving a lot of time for patients & providing precisive medication to patient.” said Chi-man Lam, CEO of Applied Technology Group Limited. “The operation hour of our Smart Clinic also provides medical consultations up to 10PM even for holidays in some locations in HK just for the sick of reducing sickness!”

Reaching thousands a month

The new technology is equipped with generative AI that, using health records of the patients, the GenAI engine can give recommendations and health advice based on your specific health condition accordingly. If necessary, the smart clinic can also refer patients to a face-to-face consultation with medical professionals. Doctors can also review patient’s health status of in a weekly or monthly basis through a personalized health dashboard.

Lam estimated that the service in trial with Chinachem Group could reach up to 2,200 households per month. All users only require downloading the mobile app for all the services.

“Our service will reach those patients who may not live nearby a clinic or rural area, benefiting thousands of people to receive medical services & health pre-screening in a low cost & professional manner.” said Lam.

The Smart Clinic is a very cost-efficient system with a running cost of one-tenth of a 500 fts clinic in HK, the system could handle up to 180 medical consultations per day equivalent to 90% more consultation compared to a physical clinic. The Smart Clinic equips with a self-cleaning & ventilation system for disinfection & hygiene requirements, with regular cleaning by Chinachem Group colleagues to ensure hygiene.

During the trial, the Group gave valuable suggestions such as making the registration process more smoothly, adjusting the platform to make the terms shown on screen simpler and more user-friendl

“We have added a voice navigation and video tutorials for users. We found that user’s learning time on the system as little as in 2 minutes even for elderly, that is exactly what we would like to see.” Lam said.
