Quality time for HR professionals

Any human resources professional has faced a similar issue: There are simply too many curricula vitae to screen for any job openings.

"At Chinachem Group, the management trainee role is highly competitive with limited positions and many applications each year,” said Joyce Mak, Product Director at KBQuest and an experienced HR professional.

“This is where AIMBEST comes in. Using this curriculum vitae assessment system powered by AI, we were able to save countless hours for colleagues, so that they can spend quality time with candidates during interviews.”

Cognitive analysis on strengths and weakness

The dashboard of AIMBEST can display key information extracted from candidates’ resumes. The system will calculate a score out of 100 for the suitability to the position, as well as providing a short summary of the candidates’ past records.

The system can use a cognitive analysis method to generate a chart showing attributes of each candidate, rating them in terms of factors such as problem-solving skills and teamwork, telling HR professionals which skills the candidates are excelling in, and which they are lacking.

Intelligent Candidate Recommendations

The AI-powered system is designed to provide intelligent recommendations. If the system believes a candidate may not be suitable for the position that they applied for, it is capable to recommend to the user which opening could be a better fit for them. This helps optimize the recruitment process by guiding both the hiring team and candidates towards the most suitable roles.

KBQuest has customised for Chinachem Group to show those who fulfil certain criteria such as meeting the required grades, studying relevant subject at universities. This is facilitated by the system's ability to efficiently scan and filter through applicants' academic transcripts.

“Recruitment team at the Group told us that in the past, it took hours just to input the data into a spreadsheet and filter candidates. Now, this is automated,” Mak said.

Furthermore, the system can also help HR professionals overcome potential human biases.

“As a HR professional myself, I would say AIMBEST gives a fairer assessment,” said Mak.
